What would be the greatest compliment we could receive about our children. I have a son who is 2 and 1/2 and full of boundless energy. He amazes with his ability to talk, sing, and remember. Now I know I sound like a gushing Father but let me say that he is often to smart for his own good! Now, if he were to grow up and become the smartest man to ever live that would be quite a compliment. However, what if he were the smartest man to ever live but he did not walk in the truth that he is loved by God and made for a relationship with Him. What if he rejected the truth that Christ alone is the source of life, hope, joy, peace, and identity? A smart man never inherited Heaven, only those who were redeemed by Christ. My desire is that my son will be smart enough to know he needs a savior. The greatest compliment I could receive is that my son is a man that is “walking in the truth.” (2 John 4). I pray that the day will be soon for my son to be saved!!!
